Hearding cats!

But Kelly, I hear you cry, how do you get children to 'perform' for the camera.. well magic.

Well not quite. I actually have a First Class Degree in Early Childhood Studies and have been working within the Early Years Sector for over 2o years! I am neurodivergent friendly and as you will find out within my blog on Documentary Photography and SEND, every photoshoot I organised for my daughter failed, as photographers assumed she would sit quietly and smile at the camera- oh how wrong they were. And, how we both cried leaving each session.

So, what makes this so different. To start I will not rush you or your child/children. If we need to have a hot chocolate first to get to know each other - absolutely fine with me! Firstly, I generally let the children play and give you time to interact with each other as you would do on a normal trip out. When I feel everyone is more relaxed I may give prompts to get more movement or interaction, but these are usually play based and FUN. Equally, if you want the session to be 100% documentary style I can do this too.
